The former world level event rider purchased the top-class horse Picobello Hector van de Warande. The 7 year old gelding, Contact x Orlando, who had already participated in a number of CSIYH competitions, will from now on be ridden under the Italian flag. Juan Carlos, who has been participating and triumphed in jumping events at the highest level for a number of years, will train this top-class horse in 2014 to bring it to a higher level. Juan Carlos purchased the horse himself with the intention of keeping it and training it, in order for it to become his Grand Prix horse.
