It is thanks to Eric Lamaze that  Check Picobello Z (Cardento x Orlando) reached 25th  place in the Z-Ranking in 2013-2014. As a 7 year old, Check Picobello Z was sold to the sponsor of Eric Lamaze and ever since he has been climbing higher and higher in the ranking, going from 103rd  in 2012-2013 to  25th in the ranking of 2013-2014. 

He secured a worthy victory in Aachen - although he was disqualified later because of incorrect rear protectors - and he took second place twice in the category for 8 year old horses. Both in Calgary as well as in Wellington, Check Picobello Z scored a clear round and this earned him a place on the stand each time.

For the time being, Eric Lamaze keeps his grey gelding for the lesser competitions, even though Check Picobello Z  has a lot more to offer. 

Check Picobello Z is the son of Only Picobello Z (Orlando x Papillon Rouge) and the full brother of Capitaine de Picobello °2014 and of Crack of Picobello Z, and he has more half brothers / half sisters at the Picobellohorses stud farm.  Author: Picobellohorses
